OF TRUSTEES MEETING
MINUTES
AND ORDER OF BUSINESS
January 13, 2015 in the
Public Library Memorial Room.
Present:
Elected Officers - Mayor Ronald A. Frohne II, Trustee
Robin Moshier, Trustee Frances Hazelton, and Trustee Warren Leonard. Not
present, Trustee Ray Patrick.
Appointed Officers - Dayle A. Barra, Clerk &
Harriett Geywits, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer
Meeting
called to order at 6:01pm by Mayor Frohne, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mr.
Larry Jouben offered a Fire Department dividend check for the Village in the
amount of $1602, representing 14% of the premium, and commended the efforts of
the Fire Department personnel.
Comprehensive
Planning Committee members received a query from Trustee Moshier regarding their
opinion relating to future zoning regulations in light of a request from Dan
Patterson to change a parcel from B-1 to B-2 to allow Stewarts Shop to
relocate. Some members attended the meeting and Chairperson Kurt Zurmuhlen
confirmed they are not ready to make any definitive response prior to learning
more pertinent information. A representative from Stewarts Shop as well as Mr.
Patterson were also in attendance. The Board will move forward on the request
and informed them of the laborious process and timeframe involved.
Motion to
waive the reading of and to approve the meeting minutes from 12/30/2014 by
Trustee Moshier, 2nd by Trustee Leonard – all voted yes.

Tracey Reese, of Simply Masonry in Fort Plain, is interested in submitting a
proposal for repairing the DAR Fountain in Spring Park. He will get
specifications and go forward from there.

Cemetery $100; total: $36,997.72. Motion to
approve Abstract #15 by Trustee Hazelton, 2nd by Trustee Leonard – all
voted yes.
Ø Clerk fees for December
2014 $20.
Ø Motion to approve Church of Christ United Spring Park
application, as submitted, by Trustee Moshier, 2nd by Trustee
Hazelton – all voted yes.
Ø On the Ann Street Bridge
repair survey, 95 out of 98 residents, who responded, were in favor.
Ø Fire Department December
2014 report distributed.

Motion to
approve Lamont Engineer’s Proposal for Fountain Repair by Trustee Moshier, 2nd
by Trustee Leonard –all voted yes.
Motion to
approve the purchase of 16 tons of garnet for Water Department not to exceed
$6000 by Trustee Leonard, 2nd by Trustee Hazelton – all voted yes.

Library Board Meeting was held this month.
Motion to
adjourn meeting at 7:06pm by Trustee Moshier, 2nd by Trustee Hazelton
– all voted yes.
