BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

MINUTES AND ORDER OF BUSINESS


June 27, 2012 @ in the Public Library Memorial Room

Meeting to order by the Mayor at 5:03pm.

Elected Officers:  Mayor Frohne, Trustees O’Connor, Moshier, Patrick, and Pierson
Appointed Officers:     Clerk – Dayle A. Barra      Treasurer – Donna Wells
Present: Mayor Frohne, Trustee O’Connor, Trustee Pierson, Trustee Patrick and Trustee Moshier.

Motion to waive the reading and to approve the June 12th, 2012 Board Meeting minutes made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson.  Trustees Pierson, Patrick, Moshier, O’Connor and Mayor Frohne all voted yes. Motion carried.

Zoning Enforcement Officer- Reported property owner at 218 Main Street refused mowing staff that were sent to remedy overgrowth on property. The grass remains not mowed and, as a result, the Village will consult with their attorney for guidance as to how to proceed.

Special Business:  Treasurer gave handout to Trustees detailing EFC loan repayment for sewer project.

Clerk - Dayle Barra

  • Abstract #02 Funds: General $19381.64, Water $693.07, Sewer $139065.44, Cemetery $361.30, Trust & Agency $184.48; Capitol Projects $122.50; Total: $159808.43. Motion to approve Abstract #02 made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson - all voted yes.
  • Motion to approve correction to Abstract #1 made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson – all voted yes, except Trustee Patrick, who abstained.
  • The Board was given the Chamber of Commerce summer concert schedule.


Treasurer – Donna Wells

  • Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet distributed.
  • Motion to accept property tax payments without penalty at the Village Office Monday, July 2nd made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson – all voted yes.
  • Treasurer provided Policy handouts to Board members for future use.
  • Resolution to allocate $59800.00 from G230.1 Misc. Reserve toward EFC loan payment made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson- all voted yes.
  • Resolution to transfer $77800.00 from General Fund to Sewer Fund made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson- all voted yes.


Mayor Frohne- Requested follow up on the clean out of the culvert near Eggleston property near Johnson Street extension.  

Motion to accept ‘Violence in the Workplace’ and ‘Drug Free Workplace’ policies made by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd by Trustee Pierson – all voted yes.

Trustee Moshier- Followed up with Tom Shypski on whether he would like to wear the leased work shirts or return them to the company to cease monthly payments of them. Perhaps ID badges could be an option at some point.

Trustee Patrick- Will relocate the project sign in the Park as it is faded, torn, and weathered.

Motion to adjourn meeting at 5:50pm made Trustee Moshier, 2nd by Trustee O’Connor, 2nd– all voted yes.
